Cooking Matters for Kids!
Does your child love to cook or interested in learning how to make simple, healthy recipes? Join us for Cooking Matters for Kids and Youth Explorers. Each week participants will experience hands-on cooking and upon completion, will get a cookbook with all the recipes.
Instructor Allie Cook is one of the Maine SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators at Healthy Acadia in Washington County. She travels all across the county to teach youth and adults how to cook, shop, and eat on a budget.

Does your child want to explore and learn more about the world outside? Join us for Youth Explorers. Participants will experience activities that connect youth with the natural world including outdoor exploration, scientific inquiry, creative play, storytelling, and active fun!

Sea Glass Shadow Box Art
Create a unique one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the treasures along the shore.
All materials are provided. Choose from our large variety of sea glass and pottery and one black or white 5X7 shadow box to create your masterpiece. If you have a special piece of glass or treasure you found along the beach, please feel free to bring it along to add it to your design. Suitable for any level of artist, whether beginner, emerging or experienced.
Instructor, Heather Henry-Tenan, has been creating shadow boxes for almost 10 years. Sold locally, her art is always in demand. Heather is a huge supporter of the Lubec Community Outreach Center and is excited to provide this opportunity to our community.

Lubec Winter Market
Beginning December 4, there will be a winter market in Lubec every first and third Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Lubec Community Outreach Center (44 South Street, Lubec). It will feature locally grown vegetables, sweet and savory baked goods, culinary delights, health products, fine art, and crafts. Masks are required.
