Dance/theatre stories written and choreographed by Ara Fitzgerald and a new film with Peter Cunningham. Ara’s original and unique narrative dance performances are visually beautiful, thought-provoking, emotionally nuanced, and politically aware.

Grand Manan Museum is pleased to present Shipwrecks of Grand Manan, featuring underwater archeologist Eric Allaby, on August 18 at 7:30 pm. Learn about some of the several hundred shipwrecks that have taken place around the Grand Manan Archipelago since 1720, as Eric tells some engaging stories and visits shipwreck sites he surveyed, mapped and salvaged during the 1970s.
Admission by donation.

Come to the Grand Manan Museum on Tuesday, August 23 at 7:30 pm to see a collection of photographs by Peter Cunningham. Peter Cunningham has been summering on Grand Manan for his entire life. A professional photographer whose career was centered in New York City, Peter is an astute observer and an insightful writer.

Find out more »Paul Lauzon Folk Concert
See Paul Lauzon in concert at the Grand Manan Museum on August 27 at 7:30 pm. Singer and song writer Paul Laurent Lauzon was born in Rouyn, Quebec, of French Canadian parents. He has worked as a singer/songwriter, in theatre, in academia, as well as in the field of music therapy. He has been visiting, writing songs about, and performing on Grand Manan for more than 40 years.
Tickets are $15 at the door.

Before the mast are “a group of nine guys who sing a-cappella sea shanties and sea songs”. Based in Saint John, NB, they have been performing around eastern Canada and recording since 2008. Their unique mix of a-cappella harmonies, stories and lively interactions connect with audiences of all ages. You don’t want to miss this dynamic and compelling concert!
