Artist Talk: Digital Media & the Conventional Artist, by Judith Kempe

Expression can take many forms these days, from Photoshop to virtual 3D painting, and like it or not, digital media is here to stay. Judith Kempe will give a talk at Eastport Gallery on July 12 at noon giving a short tour of what different digital media can offer the conventional artist and from whence it came.
Kempe has worked in photography, film, video and digital graphics, and was educated at Cal Arts, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Columbia College, Chicago. Her work history has included positions as in-house photographer for Rosenthal Art slides, editor at Independent Programming Associates Chicago, teacher at The Center for New TV Chicago and independent producer/owner at Enigma Video Productions. Her current work is at JKempemedia. The talk is free and open to the public, and will be held at Eastport Gallery, 74 Water Street, Eastport. Bring 3 of your best works to the Gallery along with an Artist’s Statement and a brief Bio. Work to be submitted between 10:00 am and 12 Noon (Eastern Time). Work to be picked up at 4:00 pm the same day.
The gallery will be closed between Noon and 4:00 pm. The works will be juried by our current membership between 12:30 - 3:30pm.
