Weekly events at the St. George Legion The St. George Legion has events almost daily, including TOPS, cribbage, BINGO, open mic, and Senior Cards.

Chess Club On Mondays, Cobscook Institute in Lubec offers chess puzzles, strategies, and socializing from 2:30-3:30 pm ET. Contact Annie by email or at 207-255-1739 with any questions.

Mindful meditation Learn how to slow down and start again with mindful meditation classes at the Lubec Community Outreach Center, every Monday at 9 am and Wednesday at 6 pm ET.

Bingo Monday night is Bingo night in Pembroke at the American Legion. Doors open at 5 pm ET and the games start at 6:30. For more information, contact Muriel Leighton.

Grief Support Group Ongoing monthly grief support group in St. George (28 Main St.) running from 1-3 pm AT on the third Tuesday of each month. Also at Humphrey’s Community Room in St. Stephen, first Tuesdays, 2-4 pm AT.

Free Community Meals The Hub in St. George offers free community meals every Tuesday from 5-6 pm. Open to all. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Faith Avery at 506-321-0453.

Coffee, Donuts, and Conversation The American Legion in Pembroke invites you to share a morning of coffee, donuts, and conversation on Wednesdays from 8-10 am ET. Contact Muriel for info.

CCC’s Work Group and Poverty Busters Meet virtually on the first Wednesday of each month from 1-3 pm ET to discuss local social problems and solutions. Contact Christine at claurel@cccmaine.org to join.

Conversation Circle Every Wednesday night between 5-7 pm AT, you’ll find a Conversation Circle happening at the Pub in Main in St. George. Sponsored by CCMA, this is for practicing English and meeting newcomers to the area.

EAC Open Sessions: Game Gathering is held every Thursday from 10 am to noon through August 31. Pick from a variety of games, or bring your own. Light refreshments provided. Free for 17 and under, $5 suggested donation for adults.

Naturalist Walks Join DLLT at Grand Lake Stream for easy, slow-paced walks intended for adults to learn about nature. Every other Thursday (including August 10 and 24) from 9 am to 11 am.

Networking Lunch Come to the Hub in St. George every Thursday at noon AT for a Networking Lunch. Connect and share ideas for community events and projects! Bring your own lunch.

Community Kitchen Lunch Enjoy a meal and conversation at the Anglican Hall in St. Andrews on Fridays from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm AT. Eat in or take out, free.

First Friday Pride Potluck Whole Life Market in Machias hosts a Pride Potluck on Fridays from 4-6 pm ET. Event open to all, please bring a dish to share.

Second Friday Pride Night Weald Bethel Community Center in Cherryfield hosts an inclusive Pride Night every second Friday from 6-10 pm ET. Campfire with potluck (bring a dish).
