Initially established as a fog station in 1874, Long Eddy Lighthouse or the Whistle Light sits at the northern end of Grand Manan Island. Looking out, a tidal convergence concentrates prey and attracts whales, seals, seabirds and other marine life, and affords spectacular views of the coast of Maine, Campobello Island, the Wolves Islands and New Brunswick mainland. Wooden helicopter pad and bench (further along road), plus access to coastal walking trails makes this a great spot.
