Lisa Tyson Ennis, Artist
Lisa Tyson Ennis lives in a remote region on the coast near the town of Lubec, Maine. She works solely with historical processes – large and medium format cameras, black and white film, handmade toners and oil paints – always searching for that fleeting unison of light and landscape that is both representational and symbolic. Each image is hand-printed in a traditional wet darkroom. Ennis’s work is in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Portland Art Museum, Tides Institute & Museum, and the Delaware Art Museum and has been exhibited in over 75 solo and group exhibitions. Select pieces can also be seen at Courthouse Gallery in Ellsworth, Maine. For more information and updates, please visit Lisa’s blog.
