The Machias Arts Council is proud to announce its 2024 Snow Sculpture Contest, just in time for our first significant snowfall! Show us your creative side using snow and create that unique frozen masterpiece! Make it a family affair and get everyone involved. The most important part is to have fun!

Yeti and 50/50 raffles for Community Kitchen Meals

Charlotte County New Brunswick

Eastern Charlotte Community Kitchen invites you to purchase tickets for two raffles to benefit the free community meals program. The first raffle will be held on February 14 and includes a Roadie 24 can hardcooler and 10 pounds of lobster as the first prize ($10 a ticket) and Yeti tumblers for second and third prize. To enter, send an email with "Yeti", your name and phone number in the message to communitymeals.ec@gmail.com.

The second raffle is a 50/50 raffle, to be drawn on February 29. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. Send EMT to communitymeals.ec@gmail.com (with name and phone number) or see Faith at ANR.

Ice fishing day for homeschoolers

Join us on the hard water for our second annual Homeschoolers Day on Ice (open to all area children)! LeAnne and Steve Dunham (and their boys) will host everyone at Foxhole Pond in Deblois. Wildlife and Fisheries Biologists and a Game Warden from Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will join us, so come with any and all questions for them!

The St. George Royal Canadian Branch 38 holds weekly events and the community is invited. On Monday, TOPS is held at 6:00 pm; contact Jimmy at 755-6042 for Cribbage Monday Nights. On Tuesdays, doors open for BINGO at 5:00 pm; early bird game starts at 6:30 and the regular game is on at 7:00. Every Friday night is Seniors Cards party, call Jimmy for more info.
