Skating in St. Andrews
The Town of St. Andrews offers multiple opportunities for skating at W.C. O'Neill Arena. Public skating is available Mondays from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, Sundays from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm for $2; Teens with Sticks (intended to train on stick skills) is open from Sundays, 1:00 to 2:00 pm for $2; and Tykes with Sticks (under age 12) is open on Fridays from 3:30 to 4:30. Helmets are required for all youths.

Please join Red Wolf this Monday, January 17 from 1:30 to 2:30 for "Tree Tales" for children! Red Wolf will teach participants how to identify common trees by their winter twigs! Feel free to bring some of your own to the Zoom chat too! A magnifying glass would be ideal as well, if you have one in your home.

Those interested in joining America's fastest growing sport can head to Calais Elementary on Mondays and Thursdays at 5:00 pm. Balls and nets will be provided, and paddles will be available if needed. Please dress for indoor playing and wear non-marking court shoes.

The Second Annual Hearts for the Arts online auction—with more than 150 heart-themed artworks by more than 40 community artists—includes paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts and more. Bidding ends Sunday Feb 13th at 5pm
Proceeds of the auction benefit the 2022 ArtWalk Passport weekends, set for June 24-26 and August 5-7. The Passport weekends aim to encourage all to make Downeast Maine an art destination, with a lineup of interactive art experiences, live music, dancing, storytelling, films, puppets, poetry and a parade!

Campobello Island Gift House is collecting art submissions through January 31. Photos of art in any form made by children from the island will be accepted (with one piece of the art made from an crafting item from Campobello Island Gift House).

Huntsman Marine's Ocean S.T.E.A.M.™ program was designed to provide individual high-school age students an opportunity to attend an immersive course of interest with other like-minded students and explore future career pathways in the ocean sector. 75,000 students have been educated through these programs.

Charlotte County residents are invited to participate in a series of online weekly workshops about the mental health benefits of gardening. The workshop emphasizes therapeutic gardening and learning to use gardening as a tool to practice acceptance of things beyond our control.
