Eastport Gallery is excited to invite one and all to an opening reception for the season, 5-7 pm on Saturday, June 3! The gallery will be celebrating a fresh collection of local art from member artists, as well as showing off all the talent the Eastport area has to offer in the Annual Community Show.
The Eastport Gallery is located at 109 Water Street in Eastport’s historic downtown. Beginning in June, the Gallery is open Thursday through Monday, 11 am to 5 pm. Additional information, and a new Virtual Gallery exhibition, may be found at eastportgallery.com.
The Grand Manan Art Gallery will open for the season on June 4 with the always popular mixed-media show by the Grand Manan Community School. The opening show will also include Love For The Light, a special exhibit that will raise funds for the restoration of Swallowtail Lighthouse (David Ogilvie's Chilly Morning at Swallowtail shown). More than 30 artists will be contributing their work for this show, and all profits, including the Gallery’s normal commission on sales, will go to the Swallowtail Restoration Fund.
