This three day retreat is perfect for a Plein Air painter looking for new territory and new inspiration and people seeking camaraderie in the area. Days will be spent in the field with afternoon check-ins. The week will conclude with an Open House at Cobscook Institute.

Join Cobscook Institute for a morning of child-directed free play starting February 3 and continuing on Fridays from 10 am - 12 pm. Start the morning outside to get big energy out, and then step inside the “warming hut” for a cup of tea or cocoa (bring your own snacks). Indoor activities and free play conclude the morning.

The Saint Andrews Paddling Club is excited to be hosting our 2nd annual Dragon Boat Festival at Katy's Cove in beautiful St Andrews by-the-Sea. The race will be held on September 23 from 8 am to 3 pm and will be a thrill to watch.

OUR AMAZING PLACE is a day-long community-building event. It is an adventurous scavenger hunt-type event in southwest NB, organized by residents, for residents - all ages welcome.
The Campobello edition runs on September 23 starting at 8:45 in St. Andrews (where participants will enjoy a 45 minute boat ride to the island) and lasts until 5 pm (at which point the boat will return to St. Andrews). To find out more and register, click here.
ATV Poker Run Fundraiser for McDougall Lake will be held on September 23. Registration will take place at 10 am at McDougall Lake Park; run ends at 5 pm Mcdougall Lake Park with prizes and BBQ. Route will be mapped out prior to event and signed for easy following.

The Bold Coast Runners invite you on weekly excursions around Downeast Maine and the Maritimes, with runners of all capabilities welcomed to join. Run venues vary weekly and range from 1 mile to 50 miles, from smooth tar to rugged single track.

Join Downeast Coastal Conservancy and Bold Coast Runners and wind through the woods and along the river in this trail running event through the Machias River Preserve to celebrate conservation in our community and help raise awareness for the protection of Downeast Maine's wild places. The Bad Little Trail Run is named from the Passamaquoddy word "Machias" meaning Bad Little Falls in reference to the falls on the Machias river.

The Maine Owl Pellet Project wants you! The project is hoping to engage as many outdoors people as they can to increase the number of eyes on the lookout for owl pellets on the ground in Maine. In doing so, we can discover more about the fascinating world of owls, their prey, and the ecosystems they call home.

There will be “big doings” in Eastport from September 25-October 2 when the USS Augusta will lay up at the breakwater in Eastport. The official commissioning ceremony is on Saturday, September 30 but there will be activities all week.

Come help save our ash trees! This event, open to all, is an exciting blend of nature conservation and Passamaquoddy traditions! During it, you will learn about the invasive species that critically threatens ash trees, collect ash tree seeds for sending to the Maine Seed Bank for conservation, and learn about Passamaquoddy culture and traditions that center around the ash tree.
Come to Cobscook Institute's beautiful Trescott Campus and explore homeplace activities. Cider Pressing (and tasting!), Paper Making, Group Projects, live music and more will all be a feature of this lovely afternoon.
