Eastport Gallery 2021 Annual Community Show

The Eastport Gallery will open for the summer season on Saturday, June 5, with its annual Community Show. This year the show will be presented both live in the Water Street gallery and online in the virtual gallery. The show will run in the front rooms of the gallery from June 5 through June 19, and will continue in the virtual gallery from June 5 through July 17.

30th Cobscook Bay 5k/10k Road Races

We are excited to announce we will hold an in-person event this year! Celebrating 30 years of running on the shores of Cobscook Bay will look a little different this year but we can still gather to run and walk in support of Down East Hospice Volunteers and enjoy Cobscook Bay and Reversing Falls!

2- Run on Your Own (ROYO) - Run the Course Between May 25 and June 5
3- Virtually - Run or walk in support of Cobscook Bay races wherever safe and convenient for you.

1st Annual Blain McLaughlin Ride for Charity

Papa's Auto 476 Main St, Calais

The Red Knights Maine Chapter 5 are hosting the 1st Annual Blaine McLaughlin Ride for Charity! The ride is going to start at Papa's Auto, 476 Main Street, Calais.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and kickstands up at 10 a.m. Registration fee for the ride is $20 (purchase of a T-shirt), additional riders are $15 a shirt. Route is TBD. A cookout will take place after the ride at Papa's Auto.

All proceeds from this event will benefit Santa’s Helper- Calais Lions Club.


Photography 101: Remove the Fear

J.B. Siem Gallery Exhibition

The Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra and Joan Burger Siem, artist, are partnering for a gallery exhibition and sale in which all proceeds will be shared between PBSO and the artist.

The Gallery Exhibition will take place from noon to 5 on June 5 & 6, July 3 & 4, and August 7 & 8 at the J.B. Siem Gallery at the Brewer House, 590 US-1, Robbinston, ME. Maine health COVID-19 safety protocols will be observed.

Washington County Family Nature Club: Pike Lands

Stage East Presents: “Krapp’s Last Tape” & “The Human Voice”

Stage East proudly returns to the theater with two in person offerings this June. Krapp’s Last Tape by Samuel Beckett and The Human Voice by Jean Cocteau will be played back-to-back June 4, 5, 11 and 12, at 7 pm, and June 6 and 13 at 2 pm. Both plays are short one-person works that deal with themes of isolation and technology, and are being mounted by a vaccinated cast and crew with strict adherence to CDC guidelines to create a safe and enjoyable night of theater for attendees.
