Huntsman Marine Debris Art Contest

Huntsman Marine Science Centre 1 Lower Campus Road, St. Andrews

The #DebrisFreeFundy project would like your help to raise awareness about the importance of healthy oceans! We are hosting our second annual Marine Debris Art Contest- winners of the contest will have their artwork printed in our 2022 Marine Debris Calendar. Grab your art supplies and show us how marine debris impacts the Bay of Fundy and how you can help prevent marine debris!

Participants must be students in a New Brunswick public, private or homeschool (Kindergarten to Grade 12). Submissions must be entered by Friday, March 19th.

Time Capsule Submissions for St. Stephen 150

The town of St. Stephen will be burying a time capsule on May 17th in celebration of our 150th anniversary and we want to know what you think 2046 will look like!

How to enter:

Send us your artwork showing what you think St. Stephen will look like 25 years from now! Artwork will be displayed at the Garcelon Civic Center and 2 lucky winners will win a caplet (9.8”x2.7”x3.1”) for their family to fill!

There is no cost to enter, simply drop off your art submissions now through March 31st at the main desk of the Garcelon Civic Center, attention St. Stephen 150 Committee

Secrets of the Fundy Footpath

Huntsman Marine Science Centre 1 Lower Campus Road, St. Andrews

Since 1975, the Fundy Hiking Trails Association, has been providing volunteer upkeep, trail expansion (in collaboration with Fundy National Park personnel), and guidance for hikers wishing to undertake the spectacular hikes along the trail. One of these dedicated trail volunteers is Thomas Raithby, who will be speaking at the St Andrews Nature Club on March 18th, at 7pm at the Huntsman Fundy Discovery Aquarium. He will be showing us some of his favourite sections of the Fundy Footpath and many of the amazing sights hikers can have a chance to explore. He will also be touching on safety for level of expertise who want to discover the trails’ natural wonders.
