Volunteers Wanted for Maine Owl Pellet Project

The Maine Owl Pellet Project wants you! The project is hoping to engage as many outdoors people as they can to increase the number of eyes on the lookout for owl pellets on the ground in Maine. In doing so, we can discover more about the fascinating world of owls, their prey, and the ecosystems they call home.

Eating Smart, Being Active

Eating Smart, Being Active is a researched based multi-week online course which teaches participant's about eating healthy foods on a limited budget, getting more from the grocery store, keeping foods healthy, basic cooking skill and the importance of staying active. The first class will be from 9am-10am and the second from 12pm-1pm.

Campobello Lodge is looking for donations of yarn for a few of our residents who are avid crafters. They mainly use 4 ply yarn, any color, full or part balls. If anyone would like to donate please drop off to the Nursing Home, or arrangements can be made to pick up. Thank you on behalf of our residents!

Do you like to walk? Are you nervous about slipping on the ice or don’t like the cold? Come and walk in the Shead High School Gym between 7-10:30 am on days school is in session.

No cost, park across the road from the school. Enter through the front door and bring a change of shoes for the gym floor.

Bike Across Canada film screening

Anglican Hall 75 King Street, St. Andrews

There will be a screening of Recovery is Possible, a 32-minute film of Matthew Dickson being the first person with schizophrenia to bicycle across Canada in 2023, at the Anglican Parish Hall on February 28 at 6:30. Musical performances by Charlotte Bartlett and Sarah Vanwynsberghe will follow.

Admission by donation at the door.

For an evening of fun and some good exercise join us Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm at the Milltown Elementary School. Use the side entrance. Open to all skill levels. Racquets supplied if you don’t have one. First night is free to try it out, $5 per night afterwards.
