Run or Run/Walk or Walk the Charles E Davis Independence Run on July 2 as part of the Eastport July 4th festivities! Participate in the second oldest road race in the State of Maine. Do the 7 miles from Perry Corner to Eastport or 4 miles walk from Carlow Island to Eastport.

The Eastport Gallery will open at 109 Water Street for the summer season on Saturday, June 3, with its annual Community Show. The show is presented both live in the Water Street gallery and online in our virtual gallery.

The Second Annual 5 Minute Play in a Week Playwriting Competition

This summer the St Andrews Arts Council is presenting the Second Annual Old Sow Theatre Festival. The Festival includes performances of plays and staged readings - including planned performances of up to 5 of our "The 5 Minute Play in a Week Playwriting Competition" winning scripts. We are accepting scripts for new or unproduced short plays that have a connection to the sea or the Maritime Provinces. Cast limit of 4 people. The 5 winning entries will be performed in St. Andrews in July. Each winning playwright will receive $100.

Sign up online by July 6 for the spirited and lively Drama for Youth (ages 11-14) course July 31-August 4, 1 pm-4 pm. Directed by Ron Kelly Spurles and taught by Mount Allison University Theatre students, this very popular course is held at NBCC/St. Andrews campus.

An exhibition celebrating the works by pre-kindergarten through grade 4 students from Charlotte, Pembroke, Perry and Sipayik schools will take place in the second-floor Community Room at Pembroke Library.

Head to the Eastern Charlotte Lions Club every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for some indoor walking starting at 5:30 pm. Bring your walking shoes, hang your coat and leave your boots in entryway. Enjoy a coffee and chatting with friends.

The St. Stephen Bicycle club welcomes new riders any time during the season. Rides are every Tuesday and Thursday (weather permitting) at 6 pm and will be 1.5-2 hours in length, starting from the Guardian Parking lot on King St.
