The Machias Arts Council is offering a solution for the “winter doldrums” in its first-ever Snow and Ice Sculpture Contest, running January 3 through March 1. Applicants of all ages who are residents of Washington County may participate with up to two entries per contestant.

To participate, when snow falls, entrants create their own original snow and/or ice sculpture in their yard, take a high quality color photo of their sculpture and submit one photo only of it to the Machias Arts Council by March 1 to Find additional details for entry here.
