Craft NB Christmas Festival

Craft NB's Christmas Festival is the biggest curated fine craft event of the year in New Brunswick! Shop from Craft NB's juried members. From Ceramics to photography, craft coffee, hand-dyed clothing and fibres, wood turn bowls and so much more! Support your local craft community and shop directly from the source this holiday season.

Festival runs from December 2-4 (click here for hours). Admission is 5$ per person. Kids under 12 are free.

There will be a musical presentation of Christmas through Carols featuring local singers, Katrina's Dance Works, and elementary school students at the St. Stephen Middle School on Saturday December 3 at 2 and 7 pm and on December 4 at 2 pm.

Tickets ($5) can be purchased at Simply for Life, from an IWK committee member, or at the door.

The Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra (PBSO) is delighted to announce its upcoming fall performances: Saturday, December 3 at 3 pm at the Centre Street Congregational Church in Machias; and Sunday, December 4 at 2 pm at Sunrise Opportunities (formerly Calais Congregational Church) in Calais. Due to concerns about rising Covid rates in Washington County, the concert originally scheduled for Friday evening at Eastport Arts Center has been cancelled. 

A $15 donation is suggested for adults; admission for students is free. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. For more information about PBSO, click here.

Stage East: The Glass Menagerie

Stage East adventures beyond the Eastport Arts Center with its next production, The Glass Menagerie. The company will make use of the storefront space at 34 Water Street in Eastport, just across from the Waco Diner, to stage the classic American drama by Tennessee Williams.

Performances will be offered at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays, December 2, 3, 9 and 10; and at 2 pm, Sundays, December 4 and 11. Tickets are $15; attendees age 17 and under will be admitted free of charge. Doors for the show will open 30 minutes prior to performances (6:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays; 1:30 pm on Sundays); attendees are asked to be in their seats promptly at 7 pm and 2 pm. Village of Blacks Harbour 50th Anniversary skating events

The Village of Blacks Harbour is turning 50 this year, and to celebrate, public skating events will be held at the Patrick Connors Recreational Complex.

On Sundays through February 19, from 12:45-1:45 pm, children and youth are invited to participate in Pucks and Sticks where they can learn some hockey basics at no cost. On Fridays, come for Public Skating from 5:30-7:30 pm. Admission is $2 a skater. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult to either event.
