Children’s Art Contest by Campobello Island Gift House

Campobello Island Gift House is collecting art submissions through January 31. Photos of art in any form made by children from the island will be accepted (with one piece of the art made from an crafting item from Campobello Island Gift House).

Skating in St. Andrews

W.C. O'Neill Arena 24 Reed Ave, St. Andrews

The Town of St. Andrews offers multiple opportunities for skating at W.C. O'Neill Arena. Public skating is available Mondays from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, Sundays from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm for $2; Teens with Sticks (intended to train on stick skills) is open from Sundays, 1:00 to 2:00 pm for $2; and Tykes with Sticks (under age 12) is open on Fridays from 3:30 to 4:30. Helmets are required for all youths.

Sunday Afternoons at the Arts Center: Theater Appreciation and the Basics of Dramaturgy

Eastport Arts Center (EAC) 36 Washington Street, Eastport

EAC’s Sunday Afternoons at the Arts Center series will continue at 3:00 pm January 23 with Stage East Artistic Director Mark Macey on Theater Appreciation and the Basics of Dramaturgy. Macey will cover the basics of theater history and dramatic theory. Attendees will learn to better "read" and understand scripts, staging, and design.

Sunday Afternoons at the Arts Center programs are held downstairs at EAC (36 Washington Street). Admission is free; donations are gratefully accepted. Additionally, at this time, patrons are required to wear masks when in the EAC building.
