Living in Abundance and Beauty: The mental health benefits of gardening

Charlotte County residents are invited to participate in a series of online weekly workshops about the mental health benefits of gardening. The workshop emphasizes therapeutic gardening and learning to use gardening as a tool to practice acceptance of things beyond our control.

Art Club For Tweens & Teens

Cobscook Institute 10 Commissary Point Road, Lubec

Cobscook Center is offering an ongoing art club for tweens and teens beginning on January 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and continuing Thursdays thereafter. In this youth led space we will nurture one another’s individual artist selves.

Participants are encouraged to come weekly but are also welcomed to drop in and try the club on for size. For more information or to register, click here.

Elementary Basketball

Children up to age 16 in the Baileyville area are invited to participate in ongoing elementary basketball classes organized by the Woodland Parks and Recreation Department.
