If you'd like to see some competitive sports action, come to the Garcelon Civic Centre for the Southern Senior Hockey League! This senior men's league is situated in Southern New Brunswick and spans from St. Stephen, New Brunswick to Saint John, New Brunswick. The league is registered through the Hockey New Brunswick’s Senior Hockey.

Auditions for Stage East’s next production, pool (no water) by Mark Ravenhill, will be held January 8th at the Eastport Arts Center from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Originally developed in conjunction with the renowned physical theater company Frantic Assembly, pool is a visceral new play about the fragility of friendship and the jealousy and resentment inspired by success.

New Year Campfire Reading

A Campfire Reading event will be held in Machias to welcome the new year. Up to 10 local authors will be reading either their own published works or from others’ inspirational writings.

The reading is planned for the parking area of Middle River Park, behind the Machias Bay Chamber of Commerce train station, at 6 p.m. Saturday, January 8. All are welcome.
