Santa’s Helper Seeking Donations

The Calais Lions Club is seeking donations for the long-running Santa's Helper program in Calais. This program seeks to provide eligible families with children with gifts they would not otherwise receive in the spirit of the season.

5th Annual Feztival of Trees

First Congregational Church Calais 21 Calais Avenue, Calais

The shrine clubs of Schoodic and Washington Counties invite you to the 5th Annual Feztival of Trees in Calais at the former First Congregational Church from December 10 to 12. Come and see the array of trees compiled by businesses, organizations, and individuals in the community and take a chance at winning the tree and all the presents underneath with an inexpensive raffle entry.

Trees will be on display from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on December 10 and 11, and from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on December 12.

Admission is $1 for adults and free for children. Refreshments and food will be available. Proceeds benefit the charitable efforts of the shrine clubs.

Walking Time at the Fundy Discovery Aquarium

Huntsman Marine Science Centre 1 Lower Campus Road, St. Andrews

Adults 55 and up are invited to utilize the flat, indoor walking space at the aquarium for a healthy and protected place to keep moving this fall. Walks will be held at the Fundy Discovery Aquarium on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:30 to 10:00 am through December 15.

Preregistration is not required. Cost is $2 at the door, or members get in free.

Lubec Celebration of Lights

Various Venues in Lubec Lubec

Lubec is holding a Celebration of Lights event through December, beginning with a Santa and fire truck tour on December 5 at 12:00 pm. On December 10, a tree lighting, bonfire, and fireworks will be held, on December 11, there will be crafting for children and a snowball dance, and on December 12, a holiday market, LAMPS concert, treasure hunt, and parade round out the festivities.

Baileyville Christmas Parade

Baileyville's annual Christmas parade begins on December 10 at 6:00 pm at the town office. It will proceed down Broadway, down Palm and up Main St to the park where a lighting ceremony will take place following the parade.
