Officer Bob Fitzsimmons of Baileyville PD and all of his elves will be at the Walmart parking lot in Calais on December 4. Donations for children of all ages will be accepted at the bus and distributed to children in the nearby communities.

Christmas Cookie Sale
The traditional Christmas Cookie Sale is back! There will be a huge selection of homemade cookies pre-packaged and ready for pick up at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Calais. Each box of assorted cookies is $10 and all money goes to support the ministries of St. Anne’s.
Boxes can be picked up at the Parish Hall, starting at 8:00 am Saturday, Dec. 4 and continuing through to 11:00. All Covid safety protocols are in place, so please wear a mask while in the Hall, maintain a physical distance and wash/sanitize your hands often.

Saturdays at the Hive
If you have a child between grades 1-5 who's buzzing with energy on Saturday, come on down to the Hive with Bee Me Kidz! Now at Milltown Elementary School every Saturday, the program teaches positive reinforcement, collaboration, and social and emotional skills development with dedicated childhood educators! Siblings and parents are welcome to come.
For grades 1 and 3, the session runs 8:50 to 11:00 am; for grades 2, 4, and 5, it will run from 11:30 to 1:40 pm. This is a free program and parents can register any time.

Kids Christmas Day Camp
The Beacon in St. George is inviting kids to the “Kids Christmas Day Camp – The Best Gift Ever!” on December 4. This will include Christmas games, crafts, music and more! Everyone that registers will hear about the “Best gift ever”, receive a Christmas gift and have lots of fun memories!
Registration is free and there is limited space for each camp. There are two camps, one for Grades K-2 that will run from 9:00 to 11:00 am, and one for Grades 3-5 that will run from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Camp opens 30minutes prior.

Come to the Calais United Methodist Church in Calais on December 4 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for a holiday craft and food sale. Proceeds from each vendor will go to a charity of their choosing. Do your holiday shopping with local artists and vendors while generating resources for those in need.

Come to the West Lubec Methodist Church on Saturday, December 4 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for a community Christmas sale! You'll find plenty of locally-made wreaths, baked goods (pies, cookies, and candy!), as well as unique items such as a white elephant table and a Christmas table.

Water Color Art Classes in Calais
Watercolor classes given in Calais, beginning September 30 and continuing through the fall.
Classes are for beginners, emerging or experienced painters. All materials for the class will be provided.
Classes are given by Helen Messemer, an awarding winning artist, and member of "Made in Maine, America's Best"

There will be a craft and goods market at the Grand Manan Curling Club on November 27 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Admission will be $2; please bring proof of vaccination.

Just in time for holiday shopping! This exhibition at Sunbury Shores in St. Andrews showcases over 250 pieces by over 50 local artists: pottery, jewelry, paintings, photography, woodworking, fine textiles, and more. It will run through December 31.
The opening reception for this exhibit is Friday, November 26 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Attendance for the opening reception is limited to 16 attendees per half-hour time slot. This event is free, however, advance booking is required. Due to the limited number of time slots and the high number of artists, we ask that bookings be limited to a max of 2 tickets, please. Beginning December 4, there will be a winter market in Lubec every first and third Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Lubec Community Outreach Center (44 South Street, Lubec). It will feature locally grown vegetables, sweet and savory baked goods, culinary delights, health products, fine art, and crafts. Masks are required.

Dart players, Santa needs your help! The Eastern Charlotte Lions Club invites you to a benefit dart game on December 4 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. This is a mixed doubles tournament with a cost of $25 a team or a new toy for each player (one toy for a boy, one for a girl for each team). Santa’s Arrival and Storytime with Mrs. Claus
The Town of St. Stephen is hosting Santa’s Arrival again this year! This is an event for the entire family and will be held on Saturday December 4, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Just prior, from 10:00 to 11:00, Mrs. Claus will be sharing her love of stories and Christmas at the Garcelon.
This year, fast passes will be available online at this link. Walk-ins welcome as well! You need 1 ticket per family seeing Santa (i.e. if you have 3 children, you only need 1 ticket).

Bring your furry friend to have their photo taken with Santa! All proceeds will go to the St. George Animal Shelter. The Huntsman Marine Science Centre will be hosting a Sustainable Craft Market on Saturday, December 4th at the Fundy Discovery Aquarium from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Kiddie Cove’s Lobster Trap Tree Lighting
Kiddie Cove will be hosting a lobster trap tree lighting ceremony fundraiser on Saturday, December 4 at Campobello Island Consolidated School from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. All funds raised will benefit the Kiddie Cove Preschool and After School programs. There will be vendors, a concession stand, baked goods, and more.

The Cherryfield Academy Community Center at 53 Main Street in Cherryfield will be the site of dozens of Christmas-related scenes and displays on December 3 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and December 4 and 5 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm.
The center will be designed for you and your family to walk comfortably through it as you enjoy the displays, listen to instrumental Christmas music, and walk under the Christmas lights.
