Join DLLT Education and Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Cote, every Tuesday from 10 am – 12 pm, for the Little Wild Ones Club! Geared for ages 0-5, the Little Wild Ones will go on nature adventures in the Downeast Lakes Community Forest. Hiking, stream exploration, games, activities, and more! This program is free for everyone, and no commitment or reservations are needed – come when it’s convenient and stay as long as you’d like! Be prepared for outdoor weather. The Little Wild Ones Club will meet at the Grand Lake Stream School Building, and the first meeting is on October 19th. Watercolor classes given in Calais, beginning September 30 and continuing through the fall.
Classes are for beginners, emerging or experienced painters. All materials for the class will be provided.
Classes are given by Helen Messemer, an awarding winning artist, and member of "Made in Maine, America's Best"

On December 2nd, join DLLT staff and volunteers at the Grand Lake Stream School Building for some annual pre-holiday fun! Using balsam fir boughs from the Downeast Lakes Community Forest, participants will make their own wreaths, and decorate for the holiday season. Don’t know how to make a wreath? No worries, we’ll teach you how! This program is free for all ages, so don’t miss this annual event that has become a community favorite.

Those interested in joining America's fastest growing sport can head to Calais Elementary on Mondays and Thursdays at 5:00 pm. Balls and nets will be provided, and paddles will be available if needed. Please dress for indoor playing and wear non-marking court shoes.

On October 9th we will be creating a Halloween Basket (12+). On November 4th you will take home a Fall Wreath (12+). On December 2nd participants will create a Holiday Ocean Plait Mat.
