St. Andrews 2021 Heritage Hunt

Various Venues in St. Andrews St. Andrews

This year, due to pandemic restrictions, the annual Heritage Hunt Raffle has been launched as a new fund-raising effort. This is a fun activity to do with others that involves exploring St. Andrews's unique heritage features, so encourage your visitors, family and friends to participate. To do so, buy a $10 ticket from a local vendor (or at the Historic Archives), take a short walk round four blocks and enter for a chance at a daily door prize at the Historic Jail and one of the valuable prizes in the grand prize draw. Remember that once you have a ticket in hand you can participate at any time up to Thanksgiving weekend (through Monday, October 11).

In the Loop / Beyond the Hoop

Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre 139 Water Street, St. Andrews

In the Loop/Beyond the Hoop” is a showcase of rugs and rug sculptures by talented fibre artists from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick! Works that depict a whimsical feel with love and admiration for locations, brands and moments that influenced each artist.

Laura Kenney brings technically skillful rug work with messages of climate change and natural life. Logan Milne brings a piece that is a love letter to a farm that influenced her life as a person and artist. Lucie Quintal’s “Pillow Talk Series” expresses her experience as an Artist in Residence at Sunbury Shores; telling the story of the people she met and the connections she made during her time in St Andrews. Finally, Larry Weyand’s sculptural work is almost an homage to the ’90s era and brings forth a sense of nostalgia and humour.
