“Heritage and Traditions” Exhibit by Kateryna Kryvolap

Kateryna Kryvolap is an artist originally from Ukraine who makes her home in Canada. She was raised and educated in an artistic family where she found her passion for fine art.

Traditional Ukrainian decorative painting arose out of a folk art which was believed to have the magical power to protect from sorrow. Depictions of certain elements such as birds and flowers represented prosperity, harmony, and happiness.

Yoga at Stockford Park with Ginny Beisel

Experience the healing of yoga in an outdoor atmosphere!

You can catch Ginny teaching all levels of outdoor classes at Stockford Park in Lubec on Sundays from 10-11 am, and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 pm. Outdoor classes run through the end of October.

Ginny Beisel is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher living in Lubec Maine. She discovered yoga while healing from a running injury and fell in love with yoga’s simple but powerful practices. She believes in helping her students discover and explore yoga’s dynamic nature in their own unique way. By leading classes that are accessible and affordable, Ginny strives to bring equity to the yoga community.

An Interpretive Dance Performance with Ara Fitzgerald

Grand Manan Museum 1141 Route 776, Grand Manan

Back by popular demand, Ara Fitzgerald will perform a series of dance and theatre solos she both wrote and choreographed at the Grand Manan Museum on September 2. Tickets are $15 at the door.

Ara Fitzgerald is a dance theatre artist, choreographer, improviser and educator who was a member of Daniel Nagrin’s The Workgroup and The Entourage Music and Theatre Ensemble where she first worked with composer Wall Matthews.
