The Town of St. Stephen will have many family friendly activities to celebrate Canada Day 2021. Select events include:
Kids Mini-Carnival - 10am-3pm
IWK Hospital Swim – 2-3:30pm
Garcelon Civic Center (enter arena at side door). Entrance is free; certain activites have a fee.
Canada Day Concert in the Park!
Featuring: Full Circle with special guest Ian Curran!
Chocolate Park – 6:30-8:30pm
Rain location – Garcelon Civic Center (enter arena at side door)

Book Talk: “The Lowering Days” by Gregory Brown

Join DownEast Lakes Land Trust in welcoming Maine-native author Gregory Brown for a book talk on July 1, 2021 at 5pm in the Grand Lake Stream School Building. His stories have appeared in Tin House, The Alaska Quarterly Review, Shenandoah, Epoch, and Narrative Magazine. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he is the recipient of scholarships and fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. He lives in Maine with his family. The Lowering Days is his first novel. It chronicles a Maine community’s efforts to rebuild and reconcile in the wake of a devastating fire that destroys the local paper mill.
