Cans 4 Cancer Redeemable Drive

Eastport Fire Station 63 County Road, Eastport

Tammy Leppin Hoche is collecting returnables to turn into gas cards for travel expenses for cancer care patients and families.  Cans can be delivered to the fire station in Eastport, or else you can send a message to the facebook page and arrange for a pick up.

We also accept donations :) There is a Savings account at the The First Bank called Cans 4 Cancer, donations can be made there.

Annual Spring Warbler Walk

Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters Road, Baring

The Friends of Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, Fundy Chapter of Maine Audubon and your refuge staff will be hosting the annual Spring Warbler Walk at the Refuge on Saturday, May 22nd. Meeting location will be at the eagle observation parking area, near the intersection of US Rte 1 and the Charlotte Rd in Baring, at 7:00am.
Rubber boots and insect repellent are recommended. We follow the Barn Meadow Trail and walk about 3 miles over 2-3 hours, depending on weather, insects and birds.
