Youth Window Display & Silent Auction for Eastport Schools Art Program

Online Event Anywhere you can connect to the internet, ME

The Eastport Gallery, Eastport ArtWalk and Eastport Elementary School are proud to present a youth bandana clothesline show and online silent auction to benefit the Eastport Schools art program.

Art teacher Sara Myrick said that the participants, from 3rd to 8th grades, loved the project and are excited for the opportunity to show their work in an art gallery. Students focused on symmetry, pattern, color and craftsmanship when creating their unique, hand painted bandanas. Because the bandanas will be auctioned via Facebook, students also considered style trends, consumption patterns and market appeal when creating their artwork for public auction.

Bandanas are currently on display in the windows of the Eastport Gallery at 109 Water St. The silent auction, with photos of individual bandanas, is LIVE on Facebook – bidding closes Saturday December 12 at midnight. To view bandanas and bid online, simply visit the Facebook auction page (LINK) and make your bids as comments on each bandana post. The winning bidders will be the final comment on each post on December 12 and winners will be contacted the next day with purchase instructions. These bandanas make the perfect holiday gifts for aunts, uncles and grandparents and ALL proceeds benefit the Eastport school arts program!
