Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre 139 Water Street, St. Andrews

Our annual holiday show in celebration of Charlotte County artists and artisans opens Friday, November 20. This exhibition invites artwork created by local artists to celebrate local talent. This year we have a theme! This can be interpreted in many ways, but we are looking for artworks that speak to a Winter theme of Fire and/or Ice.

We are currently accepting applications until November 1. COVID 19 regulations will apply to the opening.

A LifeLong Relationship with Sweetgrass

Join us to listen to, Carol Dana, from the Penobscot Nation, tell stories about her lifelong relationship with sweetgrass. She works at the Cultural and Historic Preservation Department for the Penobscot Nation on Indian Island and is their Penobscot Language Master.

The webinars take place LIVE every Thursday from 4-5pm! We will record the webinar so that if you wish to view but can’t participate at that time, the presentation will be available to you on our websites and social media.

Poetry Express is a program of the Maine Humanities Council that brings Maine poetry and poets to communities. Community members select Maine poems, learn to perform those poems in a workshop and host a community poetry reading and conversation event.

This is a special event for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, themes include domestic violence, healing, resilience, and survival.
