The Sunday Afternoons at the EAC series, a winter offering of informal and interactive programs every Sunday at 3 pm at Eastport Arts Center, continues with the popular annual Harpsichord Hour program on February 23. “I’m looking forward to my annual battle with this ancient and ever useful instrument,” says presenter and performer Gregory Biss. “In past seasons I have generally featured a single composer or genre for the content of such programs. This time I’ll be playing an eclectic selection of some favorite music from 16th, 17th, 18th and 20th century European traditions, supplemented by commentary on that music and on the harpsichord.”
"Dear Elizabeth" chronicles the remarkable 30-year friendship between poets Robert Lowell and Elizabeth Bishop, using their letters to tell the story of friendship and intimacy that existed predominantly on paper. The play is produced in the intimate setting of the Shead Theater, with limited seating for a close theater experience.
