Winter Warmer is a small intimate festival meant to help participants feel cozy in the midst of winter. It combines great music from both established and promising new artists in intimate settings often with the option of sampling a taste of something warm and delicious and washing it down with a beverage or two! With nearly a dozen performers at various venues around St. Andrews, you are sure to find a day and time that fits your schedule.
The Sunday Afternoons at the EAC series, a winter offering of informal and interactive programs every Sunday at 3 pm at Eastport Arts Center, continues with Chris Bartlett's discussion of Fish and Fisheries in Cobscook Bay. Marine fishes are ecologically and economically important in the Passamaquoddy Bay region. Bartlett will discuss changes in fish species and fishing practices in this area, and share information about recent studies on local stocks of halibut, cod, alewife, and smelt. He'll also thrill attendees with tales of great white shark tracking in our area.
