Oil Painting with Maggie Rose – Beginner to Intermediate
If you have never used oil paint, or if you have been painting for some time and want to take your work to the next level, this class is for you!
This course places strong emphasis on a complete understanding of colour and light as it relates to creating the illusion of three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional surface. It explores oil painting techniques such as direct and indirect methods, open and closed grisailles, and the best tactics for building a sound painting.

Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra Rehearsals Resume
Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra begins the 2019 Fall Concert Series with the first rehearsal on Thursday, August 15. Rehearsals take place every Thursday at Eastport Arts Center from 7-9 pm. Concerts are November 15 in Eastport, November 16 in Machias, and November 17 in Calais. The program consists of F. Schubert's Symphony No. 9 in C Major (The Great) and N. Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 1 with Trond Saeverud conducting and playing the violin solo. New musicians are always welcome. Shipwrecks of Grand Manan
“Shipwrecks of Grand Manan” with Eric Allaby, Underwater Archeologist, Marine Artist. Learn about a number of the several hundred shipwrecks that have taken place around the archipelago since 1720, as Eric tells some engaging stories and visits shipwreck sites he surveyed, mapped and salvaged from during the 1970s.
