Grand Manan Museum 1141 Route 776
Grand Manan, New Brunswick E5G 4E9 Canada

“Fish Tales:  How Ducks Unlimited in Atlantic Canada is Working to Help Fish”, with Adam Campbell, Head of Conservation Delivery, Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC). DUC manages over 150 fish passing structures in Atlantic Canada.  The organization is researching their effectiveness and developing new construction standards to improve functionality. They are also researching ways to pass more eels over structures not designed with them in mind:  Alewives and eels are an important part of the Bay of Fundy health and a focus on their wellbeing should lead to improved productivity at a large scale. Equally important, these marine species are very important in maintaining the health of many coastal wetlands.  Come learn about research and adaptive management targeted at fish, and leave with a new appreciation of the diversity of Ducks Unlimited Canada.  Admission by Donation.
