Downeast Deer Partnership

On Tuesday, June 25th, please join Downeast Lakes Land Trust and the Passamaquoddy Wildlife Department’s (PWD) John Sewell for a unique presentation on the Downeast Deer Partnership.  This impactful research has major implications for the health and well-being of Downeast Maine’s white-tailed deer herd.  Mr. Sewell has been tracking area deer through GPS collaring methods, and will describe the progress of the project.  In addition, DLLT President David Montague will speak about DLLT’s partnership with the PWD, and initial efforts of implementing this project in the Downeast Lakes Community Forest and Grand Lake Stream.  Meet at the Grand Lake Stream School Building at 6 pm.  For more information, please contact DLLT.


Zen Meditation Group Meets Tuesdays in Pembroke

Downeast Massage Therapy 848 US Route 1, Pembroke

Zen DownEast, a welcoming group of meditation practitioners,
 meets Tuesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Downeast Massage Therapy building at 848 U.S. Rte 1, Pembroke, ME.  The one-hour meetings include Zen meditation, Zen liturgy, and meditation
 instruction. We also offer drop-in classes on the writings of Zen Master Eihei Dogen from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm which you are warmly invited to join at any time.  If you are new to Zen DownEast, please arrive fifteen minutes early for a brief orientation. Zen DownEast is committed to creating an inclusive sangha and strives to embody the ideals of mutuality and  interdependence.
