Two StudioWorks Artists Offer Open Studios

August 22, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm UTC-5

Join two current StudioWorks Artists-in-Residence, Scott MacLeod and Julia Sinelnikova, on Wednesday, August 22, for open studio and artist talk receptions. Beginning at 7 pm, Julia Sinelnikova will present a sculptural light installation at StudioWorks, 48 Water Street, Eastport. Sinelnikova, who lives in Brooklyn, NY,  is an interdisciplinary artist who works with holograms, performance and digital culture. Her light installations have been exhibited internationally, and she has performed widely as The Oracle of Vector Gallery.
Immediately following Sinelnikova’s presentation, visitors are invited to the studio of Scott MacLeod at the North Church Project Space, 82 High Street, Eastport, for a chance to see ship model and other sculptural works created during the 4-week term and another installation, Museum of Dubious Navigation.  MacLeod has been presenting live, time-based, conceptual and static work in the San Francisco Bay Area and internationally since 1979. His installations, paintings and sculptures have been widely exhibited and he has co-produced international cultural exchange projects between the USA and France, Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia.
The StudioWorks program, now in its sixth year, is an initiative of the Tides Institute & Museum of Art. For more information about these artists, see their websites: MacLeod, and Sinelnikova, For more information about the Tides Institute, see
