This unique docu-concert will cover celebrated standards written by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and the Gershwins during the golden Jazz Age of the 1920s. Along with performing songs, the trio will discuss the stories behind the composers and the performers of the era, including Al Jolson, Fanny Brice, and Billy Rose. Many of these songs recently entered the public domain, prompting the trio to put together this show and share the associated history with The Great American Songbook with audiences throughout the midcoast region.
