St. Andrews Film Society: Orwell: 2+2=5
September 20 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm UTC-4
Written and
directed by Raoul Peck, this timely documentary looks at
the life and work of George Orwell, focusing on his classic
work, Nineteen Eighty-Four. By examining the appeal of
totalitarianism and connecting Orwell’s political
observations to contemporary events, the film shows how
Orwell’s warnings remain far too relevant today. Damian
Lewis narrates the documentary as Orwell. All are welcome. Suggested donation $5.
