Seed Starting Workshop with Paula Kovecses of T.W.I.G.

March 14 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

On Saturday, March 14th from 1:00-2:30, Paula will present a hands-on Seed Starting Workshop. Those who may be confused about seed types such as open-pollinated, heirloom, or hybrid can learn what type of seed is best for their organic vegetable and flower gardens. Participants will discover everything they need to know to grow seed from start to finish. Those attending are asked to bring egg cartons, newspaper, or yogurt cups for seed-starting, as well as any extra seeds they would like to share. All other materials will be provided. Subsequent related programs on seed saving will be offered in September and October at the end of the growing season. Participants are asked to register in advance by stopping in or calling the library, 853-4021.
