Rain & Snow – An SSU Winter Festival Featuring Pádraig Ó Tuama

January 30 @ 7:00 pm - February 1 @ 9:00 pm

St. Stephen’s University’s Winter Festival features four sessions open to the public, including Reconciliation, Trauma, Arts and Religion in the context of post-colonial conflict resolution featuring Pádraig Ó Tuama, the leader of the Corrymeela Community, Ireland’s oldest peace and reconciliation community. A profoundly engaging public speaker, Ó Tuama has worked with groups to explore story, conflict, their relationship with religion and argument, and violence. Using poetry, group discussion and lectures, his work is marked both by lyricism and pragmatism, and includes a practice of evoking stories and participation from attendees at his always-popular lectures, retreats and events.
This event is January 31 – 7pm, and will be free and open to everyone. Additional events including Meditations on Winter, Responding to Trauma, Identity and Healing, and Finding Home, a Night of Story and Song follow on Saturday.
