Mosaic Workshop with Lisa Marquis-Bradbury

January 26 @ 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Eastport Arts Center will offer a Mosaic Workshop with Lisa Marquis-Bradbury on Saturday, January 26, from 12:30-4:30 pm. Participants will learn glass-cutting techniques to create a 7-inch-square mosaic, using stained glass and broken pottery to create an image of their choice. Bradbury will help participants to simplify their design ideas for the mosaic form, or for those who want them will offer templates, including images of birds, bees, dragonflies and butterflies. All materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring broken pottery, sea glass, beads, brooches, or any other small objects they’d like to incorporate into their designs. Each attendee will leave with a grouted and ready-to-hang mosaic.
Bradbury has been teaching the art of mosaic making in Washington County for 8 years. An Eastport resident for the past 15 years, Bradbury loves creating with color in paint as well as glass. She learned how to create glass mosaics in 2011 and continues to enjoy playing and experimenting with the medium.
The workshop is intended for participants age 12 and up. Fee is $40; sliding fee scale available by request. Due to a minimum class size requirement, please sign up ASAP by emailing Alison Brennan at at or calling her at (207) 454-8822. The Eastport Arts Center is at 36 Washington Street, Eastport and at, and is handicapped-accessible.
