Finding Our Voices – Talk with Survivors

July 25, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

July is “Eastport Breaks the Silence of Domestic Abuse” month and the Eastport ArtWalk is proud to partner with Finding Our Voices and NextStep Domestic Abuse Project for some very special ways of breaking the silence.

All month, twenty-five Maine survivors will stand loud and proud on huge banners in Eastport business windows in the Finding Our Voices “Let’s Talk About It” banner campaign now traveling the state.

On Saturday, July 25, many of the women featured on the banners including Finding Our Voices Founder Patrisha McLean will be in Eastport to share their stories. Chat in person (from a social distance, masks please) with the survivors, and NextStep Director Dorathy Martel from 10 a.m to noon in front of banners on Water Street, followed by a discussion
at the Amphitheater at 1 p.m.
