Eastport Arts Center will present the 9th Annual Student Art Exhibition from April 1 through May 4, at Washington Street Gallery. A perennial favorite at the Arts Center, the show will this year include artwork from students of the following schools: Sipayik Elementary, Calais Junior/ Senior High, Whiting Elementary, Machias Junior/ Senior High, Rose Gaffney Elementary, Washington Academy, Woodland Elementary, Woodland Junior/ Senior High, Eastport Elementary and Shead High. All are invited to a special reception for the show, to be held from 2-4 pm, Saturday, April 8. The show is open 1-3:30 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays, during EAC events, or by chance or appointment; please email email@example.com to inquire.
The participating artists, ranging from kindergarteners to seniors set to graduate this year, have created an array of works to share, including paintings, drawings, printmaking, sculpture and cut-paper work. “EAC is proud to provide a venue for displaying these wonderful creations,” noted Cynthia Morse, who has organized the exhibition each year.
Washington Street Gallery is on the first floor of Eastport Arts Center, at 36 Washington Street, Eastport, and is handicapped-accessible. EAC abides by State of Maine CDC COVID guidelines, revisiting our policy monthly. At this time, EAC encourages people to wear masks when in our building.
