A workshop covering the Japanese art of amigurumi, or crocheting small stuffed creatures, will be held at Eastport Arts Center on Sunday, September 27 from 10 am to 1 pm, with Hazel Jeffrey leading instruction. The beginner-friendly class will cover basic crochet elements such as creating a slip knot, basic stitching, reading a pattern, and changing colors, along with providing guidance on elements specific to making crochet creatures, including making a magic circle.
