8th Annual Eastport Homes Christmas Tour

The 8th annual Eastport Homes Christmas Tour offers participants a self-guided tour of beautifully decorated homes and public spaces. A colorful brochure with map provides historical information about each home.  The tour will feature Elizabeth Ostranders studio located in a vintage cape style cottage on Clark Street.  The beautiful Greek Revival style home with Doric columns  at 15 key Street, the Norwood House will be on the tour.  General George Meade of Civil War fame stayed in this home. The Lewis F. Delesdernier House at 7 Franklin Street was built in 1807. Passamaquoddy District’s first custom agent lived in this house. a neatly kept home, the Alan Gore home built in 1907 has features of that period, . A landscape designer will decorate the Michener- Tinker House at 255 Water Street. Mercedes Spencer is of  the 4th generation to live in the home. The Samuel Stevens House on Boynton Street will be on display form the first floor to the attic.  It is furnished with 18th century furnishings and artifacts.  Likewise, the Todd House built in the 1700’s has many fine period furnishings. It has a a “good Morning” staircase and a massive center cooking fireplace and chimney. The iconic Post Office and Customs House which sits proudly at the corner of Washington and Water will have the front 2 rooms decorated for the holidays.  The Welcome Center located on the first floor of the Port Authority Building will host a holiday market from 1-5. Appetizers for tour participants will be available.  Santa Claus will make an appearance 3-5. Tickets:  $15
