Listening Walk with StudioWorks Artist-In-Residence Tracey Cockrell: Shackford Head

Tracey Cockrell is an interdisciplinary artist who synthesizes sculpture, experimental music, and linguistic theory. She will be conducting a series of listening walks in different locations; on Thursday, May 16th, meet at Shackford Head State Park parking lot at 9:00 am to hike trails to observe high tide. Tracey will be collecting sounds and materials. Walks are weather permitting. Check in at StudioWorks, 48 Water Street, at any time. Tracey currently lives and works in Woodstock, NY. The Eastport Arts Center’s KinderArts program’s popular Tiny Yogis sessions will continue weekly starting March 21, and will run through June 27, skipping April 18. The group meets on Thursdays from 9:30-10:15 am. Instructor Caroline DiLio will teach yoga through music, dance and storybooks, and young participants will even learn meditation.
