This work is about a sense of place. June 1-30.
The goal of impressionism is to capture the feel and emotional impact of the subject portrayed rather than just creating a literal depiction of it. In this course, every level of painter will learn how to free up their hand and mind towards a more exuberant and forgiving style of painting. This is an excellent opportunity for absolute beginners as instruction is easygoing and highly individual. You may choose to work in the studio or outside with oils or acrylics as the recommended media.Find out more »

A Summer Arts Camp for ages 6-13 will be offered from 9 am-noon, July 9-13, at Eastport Arts Center. In keeping with the camp’s ‘Go Global’ theme, campers will receive a passport to use for their global itinerary. Activities will include printmaking, 3D construction, world music instrument making and dance moves, flags, banners, crowns, games and sports. The concert is free, but donations will be gratefully appreciated to benefit Peavey Library. Bench seating in the gazebo, or bring your own chairs, blankets, and alcohol-free picnic.
