Take a course this Spring / Summer and learn about the magic, fun and stories associated with folk art and how to express them in a work of art. Learn to tell a story in a painting – then tell the story. Beginners to experts – this is a different way of thinking and musing. Course paintings will be acrylic on canvas. Great drawing skills are not necessary but a sense of humour is. This is not your typical folk art.

Ecstatic Dance will continue at EAC every Wednesday from 5-6 pm through May and June, with a new organizer, Dagny Silins. All are invited to come and dance to great rhythmic music and move however they wish (there will be no instruction); the group’s motto is: “dance to release stress, and not to impress.” Attendees should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring water to drink. Music requests are encouraged. Dagny says, "Bring a friend, make new friends! Children are encouraged to participate." Coming in June, the group will feature playlists by Dennis Schaefer.
