Art and Nature After School – April/May

Description: Get creative after school with instructor Chantal Vincent. Pottery, printmaking, nature, outdoor art activities, painting, baking, learning, and growing! Learn about the connection between art and the natural world - tree rings, leaf patterns, waves, ripples, rocks and more. Children will be picked up on foot by Chantal Vincent and will walk to the Centre down Water Street. Registration Deadline: April 23, 2017

The Eastport Arts Center’s KinderArts program will feature Tiny Yogis sessions on Thursdays, April 26 through May 10, from 9:30-10:15 am. Instructor Caroline Coleman Dilio will teach yoga through music, dance and storybooks, and young participants will even learn meditation. Some yoga mats will be available but please bring yours along if you own one. These free classes are intended for children up to age 5; participants must come with a parent or caregiver. Following the Tiny Yogis series, KinderArts sessions will continue each Thursday through the end of May with leader Tarah Waters.

Eastport Arts Center’s International Dance group will hail the new year with the addition of a second weekly meeting, and starting January 2 will meet both Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6 pm at the center. The group is open to everyone, including beginners, and features traditional dance from Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Israel.
