Richelle Gribble, StudioWorks Artist-in-Residence, will present “Land, Sea, Air,” a pop-up exhibition at StudioWorks, 48 Water Street, Eastport, from September 14-17. Works in the exhibition will include a puzzle project, mixed-media paintings, and woven textiles inspired by Eastport’s social networks and natural ecology. Excited by conversations, observations, and found-objects collected along the shore, each project includes materials and content collected from Eastport’s scenery and community.
Be a part of Gribble’s art projects! Members of the public are invited to drop off ropes, cords, wires, and other materials to StudioWorks and contribute to her crowd-sourced weaving project. On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 7 pm, Gribble will host an open studio reception for “Land, Sea, Air” and give an artist talk. The exhibition will continue through September 17 at StudioWorks, and will also be displayed at Neptune’s Den later in September. The open studio reception and artist talk are free and open to the public.
The StudioWorks Artist-in-Residence Program is an initiative of the Tides Institute & Museum of Art. Funding for StudioWorks comes from generous support from ARTPLACE, private funders and individual donors.
