Passamaquoddy Bay Symphony Orchestra Begins Rehearsals for 2019 Spring Concert Series

April 4 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Free

PBSO begins rehearsals for the 2019 Spring Concert Series on Thursday, April 4 at 7:00 PM at Eastport Arts Center.  The orchestra will accompany Dan Allcott, cello soloist, performing Kol Nidrei by Max Bruch and Hungarian Rhapsody by David Popper.  In addition, the program includes Overture to the Freischutz by Carl Maria von Weber and the exciting Symphonic Metamorphosis by Paul Hindemith.  Once again, conductor, Trond Saeverud, and assistant conductor, Gregory Biss, will teach and inspire musicians as they master new skills, reach new levels of musicality, and make beautiful music in a talented, enthusiastic, and supportive ensemble.

New musicians are always welcome.  Our players come from many locales, including New Brunswick, Lubec, Machias, Jonesport, Calais, and even Bangor.  Carpooling is available and encouraged.  If you play an orchestra instrument, please plan to attend our first rehearsal or contact June Gregory at june.gregory@gmail.com or 207-213-9145.  Rehearsals are held every Thursday at EAC and concerts are June 14 in Eastport, June 15 in Machias, and June 16 in Calais.
